Looks like totally stripped down, heavily dieted fun to me. Love the steering wheel.
Reminiscent of the old RS America's.
It's a manual! How bad can that be?

A delicious 3020 lb 6 speed manual with a 4.0l 500 hp/338 tq and 8500 rpm red line.

I am in love.

The stripes, seat inserts and cl wheels need to go but to be honest I wouldn't kick a girl that good out of bed for dropping crumbs in the sheets. Congratulations Porsche team, you actually made a 991 worth desiring.

As far as I can tell from various sources and articles that basically all of the 918 owners received "dibs" on the launch of this car. That means very few other purists will get the opportunity to own one let alone ever see one...LOL. As for how many come to Canada? Who knows...

Its a shame.

Yah right, I didn't see that part. What a way to ruin a good rep, freaking shame.

The new 911 R:

A thoroughbred nine eleven.

I'm not just a Sports Car. I'm much more than that. I'm the R that makes the difference. I'm the 911 that will keep you on your toes. I'm the reason for getting up at 6 a.m. on Sundays after a tough week. I’m the reminder of childhood dreams. I smell of petrol, of asphalt, of the race track. A genuine Sports Car. A thoroughbred nine eleven. Now, I'm back – in a limited edition of only 991 units.

I tick like an analogue watch. I'm honest, straight, direct. A confirmed purist. With the driver at the centre. That's why I compete out in the open. For high Sports Car culture.

I am the new 911 R.

To each their own. I ordered black leather in my 50th because I hated the houndstooth.

Guess so. For me if its a special edition car it should come one way. Personally didn't know you could select something other than Houndstooth. It's good, not a huge fan but it's part of being 50th.

Me. I thought it was ugly. All the other 50th bits were all standard. Only the houndstooth was a no cost choice. I don't like cloth. The leather still has the 50th embroidery. About 40% of 50th's were ordered with full leather. It's all good. I get asked why didn't you get MT? Why glass sunroof? Why ceramic brakes? We all order what we like/dislike. That's why to each their own.
