Default Speedstar

Just got my car back from them. They installed H&R springs, replaced the tranny and diff fluids and the propeller shaft which was leaking

H&R sent the wrong springs so was delayed 2 weeks but not Speedstars fault. Got their name from a couple of recommendations on here. Franks quote for the springs was about half what Downtown P wanted and Jack at Gtek never got back to me when I asked for a quote

On the alignment went with camber -1 front and -1.6 back. 0 toe front and .15 back

Nice guys and some very nice cars in their shop!

Yup

And I can't figure out why people have such divergent views on ride quality. It feels close to OEM to me

And I got the top down for the drive home - never done that in Feb before!! What a great day

+1 Speedstar!! As for the H&R Springs, they will lower a little more as they settle. I had them on my 996 Turbo and they felt a little unsettling when pushing the car hard in corners but I heard they are much better for 997s. Keep us posted, debating between H&Rs and Eibachs for the 997.

you should have had them put a rwb conversion while you were there. Albert is a nice guy.
one of my cars came with service records from Gtek...what a laugh looking at their invoices, some things are more expensive than the dealer.

Default Obligatory pic

With the winters on obviously. Went for a drive this morning and did not notice any clearance issues on speed bumps etc

Second everything good that's been said about Speedstar. I've been going to them since 2008. Always great service.

Hey Vern, do you notice a 'raked' look with the H&R springs? As in the front looks lower than the back?

Yes slightly but that's how the car always looked to me even before I changed the springs. We'll see what it looks like when I get the summers on

So far really like the drop (my 993 was much lower). As mentioned I pounded around some back roads this morning, some of which were pretty rough and had no clearance issues. We'll see what 6" of snow is like
