New Canadian source for P car parts?
Searching Amazon.ca for an '87 924s fuel filter directed me to International Auto Parts (no affiliation). I decided to see what they offered and ended up purchasing a PS reservoir for $30 and a fuel filter for $37. As I bought these separately the shipping was $4.95 for each item. https://iapcanada.com/

I have only recently ordered from them and haven't received anything yet. I'll post time and any surprises if there are any. Otherwise, it seems to be above-board. Roger |

Are those prices you're quoting in US dollars?

Interested in how your transaction works out. It would be good to have another good Canadian supplier, particularly with present exchange rate.

I did a quick search for a Bosch distributor cap as well as a rotor for my 83 944 and the price appears to be the same or more expensive than any shop or auto parts supplier that deals with Worldpak sells for ... at least it gives another Canadian option for Porsche parts !
Cheers Phil |
You can call Ernie at Mantis in Oakville (no affiliation), they carry parts that Worldpak don't stock.

(Rogers prices converted to Canadian plus HST, HST added to IAP’s prices) Not including shipping. Knock sensor $52 IAP $93 Distributor $100 IAP $100 Rotor $70 IAP $71 Plugs $4.20 IAP $4.33 O2 sensor $140 IAP $161 T-Belt $55.30 IAP $66.60 I would love for a Canadian supplier to step up with much of the parts that Roger stocks or can get quickly. Unfortunately even with our $hit dollar its still easier to buy in the US, especially when ordering parts from Germany. Things go even farther south when you start looking at items like steering racks, alternators, ISV valves, computers etc. Or when you order from a Porsche dealer. That’s if you pick up in that states as I do. On my last border run (last week) I claimed $340 US in parts plus beer and they still waived me through. When Mantis quoted a rebuilt rack for me it was $900. From Roger $350 (US). I'm currently working on a large project, 15k plus in parts but looks like everything will come from Roger even if the prices are PAR. Its hard to beat his customer service and I know I will actually get the parts. But open to letting other parties quote on it. Just me 2 cents. |
Hi All, Its kind of hard to compete with US suppliers, when they do not have a CDN base. We , here in Canada have to play by Ontario/Federal rules, taxes. Mantis has been in around since 1977 importing parts, we are well aware of the US market. The size of the market has an effect on costs and pricing. Please call us and we can TRY to price match. We actually stock a fair bit of parts. 1970-2006

I'm not in Canada, but will ship to CA. If anybody ever needs a price quote just shoot me an email. I just shipped out 6 orders today to Canada and I think 3 of them are from Rennlist.
