Default solid indy's?...Toronto, montreal..Ottawa?

Anyone with a solid shop that they trust in these cities? The reason I ask is that as my quest continues I'll need to have PPI's done I would like to have contacts ahead of time.

There are many great Indy's in Toronto.
Check the UCR website or Provinz magazine for Tech centers and find one that is convenient for you.

If in the Montreal area :

WeTune Autosports
1400 Norman
Lachine , QC
(514) 633-1497

Andrew is by far the most dedicated Porsche specialist in the area, very knowledgeable with the older 911 and 944's contrary to many of the other shops ...

Cheers
Phil

As Danny said, depends largely on what you're looking at.

My go-to is Auto Select, Newmarket. Franz knows the 951 and 928 like no other, that's not to say he isn't solid on anything else. Highly, highly recommended.

^ This. Franz has probably forgotten more about the pre-1996 liquid-cooled Porsches than the rest of the very good Porsche techs in the GTA together have ever known. For a 911 (of any vintage), Boxster or Cayman, you have a lot of excellent options. For a 924, 944, 951 or 928, Franz is about as good as they get.

Also heard great things about Franz

In Toronto (well Mississauga) I used Hunter Motorsports for the PPI on my 997 C4s. Brent is a great guy.

They did an excellent job, and also have a great reputation for quality work, and reasonable prices.

Highly recommended !!!!

As a follow-up re: Franz...

Just picked my car up having had my timing belt and an oil leak taken care of. As usual, he took care of some extras at no charge (compression test, welding exhaust, installed new hood struts I had in the trunk) - but best of all, he pulled my recently installed clutch and replaced a seal just "to be sure, and I had some time". That's $1600 worth of work thrown in - free of charge - because he wanted to make sure of a good job.

And then there's the walk around the workshop and knowledge transfer... he will talk for as long as you want to stay!

Wow that's solid!

As has been said which model(s) are you considering? Few good ones I know of in Ottawa for older air/water cooled Porsches

Ah - I remeber you and the 944 in your avatar (I was there talking to Nick and Mike when you picked it up). Glad you had a positive experience!

Not sure about a boxter specialist. I have taken my car to
Clinique de L'Auto Importee..they have treated my car well and often have a few older 911 and even Alfa Romeos parked for service (normally a good sign when there are a few nice cars parked for service)

I have dealt with Mark motors for years for standard service and warranty work on my Audi's and they have always done a great job. Dealer price would likely be a bit more though. And as for parts check the dealer first..even my 30 year old S2 has lots of new parts available and dealer prices are often better than the Internet.

Eurospek (attached to World Fine Cars) in Toronto.

PS: Don't judge the service based on the receptionists attitude.
