Great end of the season event today at the Bend. 23 Cars were entered. Porsche was represented by a couple of RS 911s and a Cayman R. I ran my best lap on the Technical Circuit thanks to some coaching by Corey Whiteman. Can't wait until 2017.

Have a Great Winter.

Default WOW!!

Talk about a dream day: beautiful fall day, time with the family and watching my daughter say WOW (at 18 months) when she looked at the cars.

Big thank you to John for a dream ride in his GT3RS and Mike for a rip in the Ford GT350R.

I was blown-away with the balance in the GT3RS, I have to guess the brilliant PDK helps keep the chassis settled ...and a good driver . Also, the induction wail at WOT was intoxicating, we managed to hit 212kph at the back straight. John you're intense, what a drive!! Can't wait to mix it up with you on track in the coming years.

As for the GT350, it was much more refined than I expected. The braking power and handling were also not what I thought possible. The flat plane crank sounds really good but not like a Ferrari - I wondered if it would. Once Mike switched to race mode halfway through the session, the understeer stopped and the car hooked up! I was really impressed with Mike's shifting, didn't miss a beat.

Default New 911 RSR

In other news.... I've become mildly obsessive about Z06 Corvettes of late. Considering VW is buying back (and paying restitution) on my TDI Touareg due to the scandal, maybe it's time for a responsible affordable family hauler + a fun car!

Dropped off the RS for storage this morning.

The SEMA Show starts next week. Looking forward to hear what the aftermarket will offer for the 10th Generation Honda Civic which I plan on running in 2017 along with the 991 RS at Grand Bend Raceway. We kept one of the 2008 S2000 CRs to run as well.

In 2011 I ran my 2009 Boxster, 2012 to 2014 my 2012 Cayman R, 2015 my 991 GT3 and this year my 991 RS. I intend to run the RS going forward.

There are lots of great cars that are suited for Car Lapping. Michael, pick one and join us in 2017.

How about others list what they plan on running in 2017?

I see that there is a 2011 Porsche Boxster Spyder available at Porsche of London. White, Six Speed with Buckets. I hope someone from the London area buys this for some 2017 Grand Bend Lapping.

Some people like Bowling Leagues, Golf Leagues, Softball Leagues, Soccer Leagues, me, I prefer the Thursday Night Car Lapping League at Grand Bend Raceway - on Ontario's West Coast which starts up again in the Spring of 2017. We hope you can join us.
