It's not the tank you are trying to protect .. It's the gumming up of jets or fuel injectors that's the issue . You might not notice anything but that doesn't mean your fuel lines aren't degrading and your fuel injectors or jets aren't clean and clear . It's cheap insurance

Totally agree. It certainly can't hurt.

+1. I stored my Z for 5 months every winter for 32 years without Stabil to no ill affect. If anyone thinks their Stabil will go bad, better pass along any wine and liquor that's over a year old. Particularly if you get a head ache after consumption, alcohol should be disposed of immediately. Please PM me for pick-up.

I had a look at the label on the new bottle last week. An exact ingredient list wasn't present, but the poison control/first aid warning said it contained 'mineral spirits' and 1,2,4 trimethylbenzene.

No mention about ethanol or any alcohol.

This was the motomaster brand,fwiw.

2003 GT2

A buddy of mine works for the local county 'works' department. They are betting we won't see snow/freeze(and therefore they won't be out salting ) until mid December, crazy!

Does kinda smell like varsol. My guess is that the Motomaster product is the private label version of Stabil.

One last thing.

Make sure your drive clean is done and you update your sticker before you put it away if your bday is in the winter months.

It's a pain to get your sticker from the MTO if you take insurance off while it's slumbering. As in they won't give it to you on the 1st sunny day of the spring....
