As far as the shades of brown, agreed that some are nasty! But , the latest GT3 in Anthracite Brown Metallic is very cool...Here is one for sale on RL right now:

But from a quick google search, you need black wheels and looks better on the cars with spoilers... guess it tones down some of the flash.
I'm a fan of strange, bright and out of the box colours on 911s. Especially the older cars.

The key for me when having these odd colours is keeping it very well maintained. For example, the pinks, pastel greens, etc look amazing when the finish looks 10ft deep. When these colours are hazy or flat looking, they lose their appeal.

Have to agree 100%. It bothers me when I see any true sports car even slightly dirty.
I like it. Porsche has a long tradition of outrageous colours. Ruby stone is a colour that is very tough to photograph accurately and looks better in reality. As usual it looks best on the cars from the era in which it was offered.
