Tried it, my wife/navigator wasn't super keen to use it, it did help for some slowdowns,even on the back roads. I'll keep it on my phone and try it some more.

I also use a newer Garmin with traffic (really only good on 400 series roads), Google maps, and map quest on road trips so we are well armed.

It saved me a few times on the way up to cottage country. When you can see a few wazers in front of you, it's confidence inspiring that here are no road hazards, cops, etc. at worst, it's google maps. At best, it's a traffic avoider combined with a radar detector.
