Shipping tires to U.S.
Guys - I have a potential buyer for my summer tires (not rims) and he's in Florida.
Best shipping company?

I can't remember the amount but it was not cheap with DHL last time I checked. I ended up sending the set I sold from NY to AZ. $160 USD for 4 boxes (one wheel in each).
But you will need to take your chances at the border or declare and pay Import duties of 6%. Plus the gas and time involved.
Have you checked with Grey Hound? They are usually the cheapest for large items. But not fast.

Make sure they are DOT approved. I went through Hell and Back shipping complete wheels from Canada to the states. I actually sold the rims only in the end, since entry to the U.S. for the tires alone was denied. Guess I hit a sticky inspector south of the border
Best is to cross border and ship from U.S. to avoid any issues
