O/T for my fellow cigarsmoking Rennlisters
I know the weather is fearsome in Toronto right now, but it is only about six weeks till we move to summer GTG location and maybe stand outside with our Porsches, and maybe a chance to indulge in the disgraceful practice of Saturday morning Cubanos.
In the meantime, i took this photo in the lounge in the Peninsula Shanghai where they have a civilized cigar bar like we once did in Toronto. Of course, non-smokers will rejoice, naturally, and fair enough. Still, if there were one of these in Toronto I would be there in a flash.....
The only 911 I saw here was illegally blocking traffic....aargh....

I'm not a big cigar guy (will partake on rare occasion), but I love the idea of a classy cigar lounge to sit back in a nice leather armchair, sip on some single malt scotch, and chat about life with good friends! There should be special permits to allow for such fine establishments here.

The second worst thing about winter aside from the driving conditions is the harsh smoking environment. No sticks in the house allowed, so I can only muster enough strength for the odd short or petit corona. Fortunately I spent the first week of Feb in Cuba and got my fair share of smoking in while I was there. Now I just need another trip or 2 to Montreal as they have some good cigar bars left.
Ronan, what do you like to smoke? Do you ever consider trading?

The only way to have that in Ontario is a club house. Members pay fees for upkeep, do whatever they want inside.
I installed a heater in the garage along with fresh air ventilator. So I can enjoy my Maduros whenever I want. Though I sit in a cheap Ikea recliner and not a leather seat, I am however staring at my Porsche with cigar in one hand and scotch in the other.
Guests are always welcome of course

Thankfully, we still have a few cigar lounges that allow us to indulge, "down south" (i.e., NY) of the border, while we await the return of better weather. I don;t know about you guys up north, but it is -10 F, this morning................it's like enough already..........thinking it is not going to be possible to get the trailer out of the snow for the early April events this year, LCMT just might be the 1st if this weather pattern sticks around..........

Cuba...
They have some wonderful rooms at the resorts (in addition to being able to smoke in the bars).
The spouse enjoys her scotch (me not so much) while I enjoy a cigar (her not so much).
Downside is there aren't any P cars to view there.

I was in HK and Macau last month. Lot's of nice cigar lounges but prices varried depending on what size of town you were on. One night we saw some guys drinking a nice bottle of scotch down by the Avenue of stars enjoy some cigars and the view of HK Island. I thought "How come I didn't think of that" ???

Not so sure about Atlantic City, but if you cruise through Philadelphia, stop by Holt's Cigars shop on Market St, (IIRC), it;s an Ashton owed place, if memory serves me correctly. Nice selection, lounge, too.

Great shop for cigars and smoking accessories, but no smoking allowed on premise.
