Thanks I just wish it went amazing LOL. If it does not sell I see a LN 3.8L build on the horizon. Just means no GT3 for me next year, or the next.

Well I have to do a preventative rebuild as well. Don't know how long it will keep running without one. 3.8l is the way to go, not sure if we could do a 3.9. EU autowerks has done quite a few all ready. Last time I talked to them I got a ball park around 14-16k quote for it though more if your want to do a bunch of other upgrades.

I was looking forward to seeing your car soon as mine looks very similar....
I have a 996 Turbo Gaurds Red with 19" victor equipment wheels, lowered and a GT2 rear decklid wing.....would have been interesting to see them side by side...

Thanks, I thought about a turbo motor but would think the electronics etc and small parts would add up to a fortune.
Don't know the cause, seems to be a weak part in these motors, I was **** about maintenance and checked the filter every chance (ie 3000mi).
Like I said in the add, if I cant get close to my price a build will be underway next year, either EU or Hunter as I understand both have done the 3.8l build. Jake Raby would be great but I cannot justify the price no matter how good. Just pissed off and very disappointed right now. Oh well.

Turbodan, ygm regarding the turbo engine.

I'm in the same boat, needing a new engine for my C4S. Might be worth talking to the guy.

Yeah, I know. From the research I have done, it seems you would have to swap everything over from the turbo, including the transmission, DME, wiring harness, exhaust, and a bunch of other stuff. Does that sound about right?

I couldn't find anyone who has done the full swap, but one source told me it would be a LOT of work. Anyway, just exploring options.
