I'm no accountant but I use Quickbooks Pro to run my shop.
Once you set up your GL's, you just enter the data.

Then at years end, you pay a real accountant to close the books.

That was funny! I might use that one next week when I'm sure the Salesforce software vendor is going to try and discredit me in front of my client. The pressure of the negotiation will start to take hold as it's Salesforce's end of 3rd Quarter on October 31.
