Nice. The one from Bavarian autosport has a nice feature that solves one of the annoyances that I have with the Motive one. With the Motive one you have to spin the entire unit when screwing on the cap otherwise the hose gets too twisted. The Bavarian one apparently has a quick connect to solve that problem, and it includes a catch bottle. Now if the catch bottle had markings every 50-100ml so you know how much to bleed that would make it almost perfect :-)

Mark: This unit from Bav auto is very well built , and builds pressure easily and the fittings are quality IMO, have used it on a Lexus but not on the P car as it is not due for brake maintenance for a while. I used the air pressure method at 20psi vs the presurized fluid method and it did what it was designed for. I paid more than the sale price as the bottle at the time was separate. There is a universal master cylinder cover available as well. Kgoetz, as you noted there are no markings on the bottle but one could add fluid in measured quanties and mark the outside with a marker. I went from clear to blue brake fluid so it was not an issue. Have stocked up on that blue fluid as it appears it may not be available later. There is a video on BA website showing it being used and also on Youtube.

We offer a wide range of Motive products but the Power Bleeder and Bleeder Bottles make brake bleeding a piece of cake! See Motive products here.

That isn't the case with the Motive Products 0109 Power Bleeder that comes with the 1109 cap that swivels on the hose. That model is for Porsches.

I took it a step further and installed quick release couplers so that I don't have to pump the unit up every time I take the cap off the hydraulic fluid reservoir.

I use the "dry method" when using mine.

They are nice, but you can also use this method, super cheap and works like a charm.

I just did my clutch and brakes with this method. Got an oil can at Crappy Tire for $7.

After five years the power bleeder got put to use. But i’m not Having much Luck though. I followed the instruction and it’s pushing fluid but it’s full of air. I notice the fill line has air in it as well as fluid and tried tipping the boosted to get the air to escape but no luck. It seems to me that I’m pushing air into the system. I filled the booster to the max. Also during this the hose into the bleeder ruptured, that was a mess wiped it all down and cleaned that up with denatured alcohol.

what am I doing wrong.

BTW I just did front rotors and all pads on the Boxster.

sounds like a leaky master cylinder (seals).
I assume you are either using fluid in the motive unit or air and making sure the fluid in the master is not too low?

yes I put plenty of fluid in the motive unit. I didn’t have braking issues, just the pad warning light. Prior to pulling the pads I siphoned the resouvoir as I know from experience that pushing the pads back forces fluid back and it can be messy.

Good news. In the words of the wiseman, Patience Grasshopper, That and plenty of Dot4. I pumped it up and opened the bleeder and let it do its stuff while I cleaned the rims. Long and Short. Obviously I put air into the lines and it needed time to dump it. On the plus side I now have four really clean and polished wheels.

good to hear it doesn't need a master cylinder.

That’s for sure. And in the meantime I discovered the issue. I had very little air in the lines. It was a phantom problem. I had a 5/16 clear plastic line on the bleeder and because it was angled sharply it wasn’t sealing properly and the fluid draining pulled a vacuum drawing in air. Once I held the tubing more vertical it stopped bubbling. Live and learn. I do have very clean fluid in the lines though considering the amount of new stuff pushed through.
