FS '90 964 GP White - SOLD!!!
SOLD TO A GOOD HOME!!!
Hi all, i am posting here as well as the FS forum.
Asking Price $24,500
1990 Porsche C4
146,000 miles
Personally imported from Florida, Nov. 2010
GP White & Marine Blue partial leather
Porsche Certificate of Authenticity
The car is a very, very strong driver and has been my summer daily over the past three years. It sits perfectly, pulls like a mule, sounds the part and has no mechanical gremlins. I bought it at appx 130,000 miles and drove back from Florida. It has not seen any winter driving since being imported to Canada. Since purchase I have continued to improve the condition of the car with an eye towards reliability and performance. A valve adjustment was started late last summer and it was discovered that the cams were pitted, so the engine & tranny were removed and Dougherty 993SS cams were installed. The entire valve train was inspected and rockers were replaced as required as were a set of Turbokraft rocker shaft keepers. At the same time a full upper reseal was completed, including new Hargett billet valve covers. A new OEM clutch was installed before re-assembly. Although the original brakes were more than adequate, the front carriers and calipers from a 993 turbo were installed along with 993 rear 4 pot calipers, new wheel bearings and Walrod poly bushings. Pagid pads in the rear and OEM pads are in the front.
There appear to be some areas that were repainted over the years and there are some chips and minor pings but overall paint is quite good. The interior shows well for its age, I have recently replaced the door panels with RS style cards (have original) and Rennline track mats & pedal caps incl dead pedal.
Upgrades
Bilstien shocks & H&R green springs
RS swaybars and drop links (front & rear)
Kinesis 17 wheels with 90% Sumitomo HTRZIII (225/45 & 255/40)
D-Zug HID headlights with chrome trim rings (have old H5 lights)
New taillights (all 3 pieces)
J-pipe secondary delete
R134 conversion
Evolution cone intake
Pioneer Radio with Bluetooth (currently no speakers)
Recent Repairs
Turbo front carriers & calipers
Front wheel bearings
Chris Walrod poly bushings
993 rear calipers, new seals & dust boots, pagid pads
Oil cooler & a/c ballast resistors
Dougherty 993 SS cams
Replaced & reground rockers
Replaced timing chain ramps
Hargett upper & lower valve covers
Top end reseal
New cap, rotors and Spark plugs
New clutch & clutch master cylinder
New rubber around door to body and windows
Rennline track mats & pedal covers
Recent alignment that is daily driver friendly
New window switches and door lock micro switches
New battery
New clutch pedal roll pin, bushings & return lever
Front & rear bumper re-spray
Easily $16k in maintenance and improvements since I bought the car and still a smile every time I crank it over.
The PO had replaced the alternator, starter, turn stalk, plug wires, evaporator fans, a/c control unit and converted to R134, stainless brake lines and other service items within the last 20,000 miles.

Have been avoiding Leslie like the plague these days with all the construction going on (curb improvements, raised manhole covers doesn't work well with a lower 964)!
