Default Market value for 996 Hard Top?

Hi guys,

My 996 Cabrio is close to be sold and just working out a few kinks on pricing.

Buyer not interested in hard top and says it should be an easy sale so i should discount off the price? What would a factory white hardtop fetch for a quick sale?

Thanks!

forget the discount .. the price is the price for the whole car .. you cant pick and choose .. if he doesnt want the hard top fine .. but no discount..

you dont want the headache .. you will have to find a buyer with a 996 cab .. white .. and then hope he needs a top ...
pfaff were giving them away for 400.00 and couldnt move them at the last pfaff get together we were at.

at our Saturday get togethers over the years i must have seen literally hundreds of different Porsches .. i dont ever remember seeing a 996 white cab . So there cant be THAT many out there ..

The value of a 996 hard top is approximately zero.

There's a guy in another post looking for a cab top installer. Why don't you suggest he convert to a 2 tone coupe for say $50?

Wow, would have thought that they would command a little more premium especially in our winters.

i bet it would make an outstanding " porsche designed" tobogan.

Wax her up and you will beat every kid in town down that hill..

Let him sell it himself once he's bought your car. I wouldn't want the headache unless I knew it was something I could sell easily and make a few extra bucks. I would not discount the car regardless.

Funny that Boxster hardtops command a premium and 911 go for dirt cheap. There is a few on Kijiji going for around $400 for months now. Boxster ones can command over $1,300 in the states ...
