Default Off-Topic: 3D Printer in GTA

Hi Rennlisters,

I'm looking to see if anyone in the GTA has access to a 3D printer and can help me print out 4 of these washers?

3D file is provided by manufacturer. Application is for the Rennline Tow Hook Rev1. McMaster-Carr told me to pound sand because I don't have an account and I need to buy in quantities of 100. Edit: Rennline also said to me today they no longer carry the washers since the Rev 1 product is discontinued.

https://www.mcmaster.com/95606A450/ Thank you in advance!

You're seriously complaining about $17 for 100?

$17 is not bad. Even though you do not need a 100. Doubt you will find a business that will do it for that price. Or even $30 if you factor some shipping and hassle finding/working with a local company.

Had some experience in trying to get our own gaskets made for a machine, instead of buying from the machine supplier that over charges for the parts. Can be done for less, but savings come a high quantities.

I am not complaining about $17. They simply will not sell to me as a regular consumer. I don't have a business account with McMaster-Carr. If the option were available, this would not be an issue.

You need to open an account at Fastenal if you want to purchase anything. That's what I found out at their Etobicoke location

I have a 3d printer, but the materials I print are PLA and PETG... I don't know how close that is to nylon...

I printed the window switches on my NB miata last spring..... However, I'm not in the GTA

Try this guy. Used him to print out some speaker collars/adapters. You can upload your file online to get a quote and he has different materials.

https://velto.ca/

Do you have a file for them btw and or know the dimensions? Easy to create a 3D drawing/file for that if you do have the dimensions. I use Sketchup.

Hi pbcsd,

From the link I shared in my original post, the manufacturer allows you to download various 3D file types, including SolidWorks and various types. In an initial attempt to upload the SolidWorks file, Velto won't accept it until I convert it to STL. I'll try to goof around and see what I can make of it. Thank you!

Okay, give me a minute...will create the file for you using Sketchup since the dimensions are on the site. I don't see the files, only a SolidWorks download?
