Default Where to buy loctite 574 flange sealant locally?

Hey,

I'm resealing my balance shaft covers and can't seem to get any of this locally. Vendors in the US won't ship across the border. Any leads appreciated.

Thanks,

Nick

I got mine from Pelican, and had it shipped to the border at my Kinek address, where I picked it up. Is that an option for you? I've been doing that for other sealants that you can't get up here, too.

Also, Pelican will only ship that stuff via ground, but it's possible that they don't limit it to within the US. Have you tried them, or Lindsey?

Try Fastenal.

www.fastenal.com/

They list it in their catalog.

Hey Charlie how's everything? I initially used pelican but they took it off my order. I guess I can have it shipped to the border but its hard to make it out there with my schedule. Going to try fastenal tomorrow.

Thanks

Nick

Pelican will ship it to you - I got some from them a while back. pm Cliff/The Stig - he was telling me about some place I think in Brantford that had all kinds of adhesives (by text, don't have my phone with me). At least, I think it was Cliff...

Things are going really well -- I got my engine back together and into the 968, and it's running beautifully. I do have half a tube left if you're really stuck, but I know I'm pretty far from you!

Mine was included in the sealing kit I bought from Henry Schmidt, so I haven't had to source it in Canada.
There were no problems at the border with my shipment from Henry.

I just ordered a bottle of 271 at Fastenal and they had it for me in 2 days.
They may be able to do the same for 574.

When I was looking for it, no one had it in Canada. They all had to order it in from the states. 574 has a fairly short shelf life and very low demand and that's why no one would stock it in Canada. Or at least that's what they told me. There are other flange sealants with same properties that will work just as well.
