How much torque to the wheel nut?
996 4S, I'm getting new wheels and winter tires next week. But not so sure about
the torque to the wheel nut.
Have heard someone said Porsche 911 requires 300lbs of torque, is that for real?
If not, how much would it be?
Thank you

90 is usually the accepted standard. I usually use about 85, because I found I twisted a couple lugs, even broke one once. They were aluminum, not steel.

I doubt the lug nuts will take 300ft/lbs without stripping. The wheel nut on the rear axles on a 944 does however get torqued even greater at 350 ft/lbs. That nut is dead centre on the axle and takes a 32 mm. socket.
