997inTO's quote on the Sumitomo III's seems very competive - waiting for sizing specifics - but seems like he might be a solid source for rubber.

I wonder if the install shop will deal with precious Cup I's! ; )

I need to get two sets within the next few weeks. Anyone interested in getting a volume discount? Does not have to be same brand/size of course. I am sure if collectively we will need let's say 10 sets, we should be able to negotiate an additional discount from an already low price establishment. Anyone?

Hey Craig,

I need whatever is cheapest. Either:

Full set of Sumi HTR ZIII - 2 x 225/45/17 and 2 x 255/40/17
OR
Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 - 2 x 255/40/17

It's a long story, involving a 4" nail.

Best price I've been able to get so far is about CAD $650 installed, + tax for the Sumis. Don't tell my wife I'm shopping for rubber.

I am down for a set(pair of each size) of the following specs:

235/35/19
295/30/19

Any brand of tires are fine as long as they remain a quiet ride as the 911 will probably be sitting this year due to business travels. Thanks Craig!

I'm about to buy a pair of Hankook V12 Evos 295/30/18. Not sure if that would
count for a group buy entry...Let me know!

Alternatively, I was just planning to shop Tire123 and SimplyTire against TireRack
and see what the best deal I could swing.

Ok, so that's 7 sets of rubber right there. I will call Simply Tire and see if I can get an additional volume discount on top of their already fair prices.

I'm in for a set of Hankook Ventus V12 Evos as well or possibly PS2s depending on the difference. 235/40/zr18 and 265/40/zr18. Will be in Toronto in June.

What you are seeing is what we in the industry already know - this isn't a huge margin game. In many cases "group buys" only translate to higher costs somewhere else.

To those of you mentioning us, thanks. We certainly appreciate the loyalty of the members of forums we sponsor and take the time to answer questions on.
