Loaded question... most shops that service Porsches should be able to this, and they should have the proper equipment.

You can also remove your injectors and have them re-built...

Are you trying to solve a problem or is it just something you want to do?

Assuming you intend on taking them out and having them cleaned and checked.

Many people on the 993 forum recomend http://www.witchhunter.com/index.php4 But they are in the states, just wanted to provide a comparison, or alternative . When , and if you get this done, could you please post your results/ cost for this service. Cheers

Fuel injector are not rebuildable. They can be cleaned but not rebuilt. Since they can't be taken apart, there is no way to rebuild them. They have moving components, so after the so called" rebuild, it will be just as worn but it won't be clogged. The only parts they can replace are the O-rings, pintle cap, the screen and these are all external components. Don't be fooled that your newely rebuilt injectors are as good as new. They will still have just as many miles as they did before and sooner of later, they will fail.

If I was going to have any set of injectors flow matched/worked on and it couldn't be done in Canada i would just send them to RC Engineering.

Nuff said.

If you have the Ford style you can get a good price on new ones from Blue Oval in the states or sometimes Steeda in Milton sells them at a reasonable cost.

If they are any variation of the Bosch style injectors, they are available brand new for around $200.

Balancing means all the injectors will flow the same rate but since they are non adjustable, they take other injectors from a different batches and match them untill they are all the same. So, unless your injectors flow he same rate, you will end up with ones that came from other cars. I'm as cheap as they come but even I wouldn't drop $200 on a cleaning.

You are 100% right... I use the term rebuild to avoid the lengthy conversation about pulling them from the car and replacing all the external components and cleaning them well... If you have the engine apart, the parts are cheap. If you are trying to solve a problem, buy new ones instead... Most people don't believe me when I say they are a wear item and should just be replaced after a certain amount of hours of operation. Just an opinion...

Ditto all of the above re: rebuilding - they can only be cleaned and flow checked.
I had mine serviced during an engine rebuild because I wanted to make sure there wasn't a significant flow difference, and that they were shutting off completely when de-energized.

I use them as well, DIESEL injectors are the only injectors that can be rebuilt.

Pelican charges around $40 per cis injector. So using your theory I saved $40. When I had the injectors serviced the engine in my car was getting head studs and the cams re-ground, among other things.

still i have no car but my brother have and he use DIESEL injectors . DIESEL injectors can be rebuilt so you should use .
