Fall drive?
It seems like it takes forever to plan these things, so let's get the ball rolling early.
Who's in for a nice fall drive? Where do you want to go? Back roads? Niagara wineries? Combine with an evening track event at TMP? A couple years ago I hosted a bbq here to kick off a drive, and I'd be more than happy to do that again.
Let's get some thoughts out there, and see what comes.

There are several challenges involved. The number of cars we had last year made it almost inevitable that the group would get spit up so I suggest three groups each with a leader who has a good understanding of the route. The roads should avoid traffic lights and left turns and lift bridges. Last year was pretty good and I recall afterward there was a suggestion to reverse ( not drive backward, that would be ugly) the route and end at an eating establishment in Winona/Stoney Creek.
To avoid problems on the day the route should be driven a day or two earlier to learn if obstacles are going to encountered ( rough roads, construction etc). If a winery is included they have to be advised at least a week in advance and and the restaurant too. Other than that the last week in October is good as it is after the wine festival and the roads will be a little less traveled.
....and unless some magic ensues or a Fred Flintstone routine works, my 968 will not be ready so if someone is solo and would like to ride the front and can handle my nagging I don't mind putting something together.

Jim, provided the date doesn't collide with my work requirements (end of October should be fine for me), you can be my co-pilot if you like.
