Was it PCA or Rennlist? Who got the invitation email from Deborah Brown & then obvious a reply to all was done by a Dr. Alfred Jay? Not cool imho. I saw Clive's email address on the reply all list - maybe 40 - 50 names in total.

yeah I got it and felt it was hugely inapropriate ... I registered on the new PCA website .. I was going to ask Danny to investigate since he is/was on the board at UCR. This is aginst the code of conduct of PCA. From the names I saw I think it is a PCA list not a er .. rennlist .. er .. list ..

I got the invite too. I am on the BOD. I asked Ian last year to use his (nephews I think?) pics. Last year the concours was run by Hubert Lee. Perhaps he passed it along? I agree it is inappropriate. Maybe \we should all crash this barbecue anyways and find out what is going on. UCR is only supposed to send out one update a month about the club and not for vendors. it is funny that they didn't even bother to bc it so we can see the addresses. this also leads me to believe it was not done by UCR, the webmaster is Otto and he bc s club emails. It didn't bother me that much as it went straight to my junk folder. I will let you guys know if I find out anything.
since I am selling my house (on the market wed) maybe I should see if it works to sell hers and copy the email list and have a barbecue as well haha

No idea what you guys are talking about, and I'm not on any PCA or UCR email list. I let my membership lapse a year or so ago.

One of the major reasons why I did not continue my membership with the UCR PCA was that I found too many members where using thier "connections" within the club for personal financial gain.

It would be great if it was just a club for enthusiasts of the brand... but if you are looking for personal gain, self affirmation, or monetary gain, join a church or cult or something else, not a car club.

"Hey, let's make silly rule changes in DE that will force people to buy products and services from us and alienate beginners and experts at the same time! This reduces the wait list problems and puts money in our pockets"

The E-mail list thing has happened before in UCR, and will happen again... good luck.

Nothing here either. More than one e-mail a month from PCA though, no that it bothers me but anything that comes with a paid membership should be free of spam.
