Any Michelin tire dealers here?

I think you may find it a great deal cheaper to get them shipped in from the US.

^ dealer markup if you actually go by what is listed as "MSRP" is like 30-50% on premium sport tires and better for wholesalers. What dealers actually sell them for is a whole different ball game because people shop down south so really a dealer would end up taking his 10-15% and pushing volume. There is less "markup" on normal tires (hankook, fuzion, etc in non-sport models) so volume comes into play.
Exemplar: Michelin Pilot Sport 2 - 225/40/18 - MSRP is something like 550$ and Jobber is down around 300 bucks but no one is getting away selling the tires at full pop, so the reality of the matter is different from what the numbers let on.
Also I will second Zookie's recommendation for Simply Tire. Allan Ahi is a good person to deal with and a member of this forum. His pricing is more than fair/compeditive with US pricing.

Thanks too!
I'm thoroughly shocked with the price of snow tires here. Tire Rack lists a tire for $107 US, that costs well over $200 here. Then add tax and such! I've already bought but I'm giving my head a real shake.
Lesson learned--I need to find an installer who will accept and mount Tire Rack tires on my rims for a fee.

Well Dave ANY tire place will mount your tires .. it is called a seasonal changeover and will cost you around a hundred bucks or so to mount and ballance.
The high price of winter tires is due to the demand from Quebec as it is law there .. Strap your self in because it may be coming here and that will frive prices even higher .. Just get em shipped to a border town and go pick en up . Even with the hassle it is still WAY cheaper . I have tire rack tires on my Audi and my 911 if worked out to be about 50% cheaper than buying here ..
I like to support local when I can too but not at those prices.

Thanks iceman. So clear--and so stupid to buy locally for the prices charged.

ps lots of good roads around Cambridge and K/W. We used to belong to a Miata club in London and we'd drive a while to get to your town.
