Default OT: Anyone know of a good house inspector

My parents' home in markham is approaching the 2-year anniversary for
Tarion's warranty.

I'm looking for a detail-oriented professional house inspector to find any deficiencies (eg insulation depth in the attic, etc).

Anybody here have any recommendations? Much appreciated!

Just someone I know on the Corvette Forum. He's up in Newmarket. Tell him Stan (Zeeman) from the CF referred him.

lol... you said "good" and "home inspector" in the same sentence.

Not to offend, but the new home warranty is a crock of **** and is less than useless. Good luck getting anything resolved with them. A home inspection license can be had for a few hundred bucks and a Mickey Mouse course...not worth the paper its printed on.

The best person to look at your parents home is an experienced contractor with knowledge...he can tell them if the home is well built or not...although if he does find a real problem, getting the new home warranty to help them will be a miracle. This is why "Holmes on Homes" is doing so much business.
