Default POR 15, coatings

Bob D. put me onto this stuff. I have been busy polishing and buffing aluminum and stainless steel and wanted a sealer coat. I bought a pint of Glisten and Metal Prep. Pricey at $70 but if it does what it says it's cheap. The importer is in Montreal and the local distributer is in Grimsby, Stevens Auto Electric & Machine Ltd. 591 Main St. L3M 1V1. 905 643-3965. www.canada-por15.com. Directions are 50 Road to hwy 8 and pull into the driveway at the RV storage place. I'll bring the catalogue to the GTG.

yeah I was trying to get por15 a while back ( POR- Paint Over Rust ) , I wanted like 2 drops from my nickle size rust spot I was doing but couldn't find anybody local that had it .

That is reportedly the stuff to use but as always there are different opinions on everything.

Hey Jim, which one are you planning getting the Self-Ething Primer or the Por-15 Rust Preventive Coating. If you are going to have some extra I'm willing to buy some from you, I just need a small portion to cover some rust on the door of my bimmer.

Thanks for the link, Jim. I'll have to wander out there for a pint of the Rust Preventative sometime. A PO induced scrape on my gas tank sounds like a good candidate. I sanded & hit it with rust paint but POR would make me feel better.

rust bullet is also an excellent product, but much easier to apply in terms of surface prep and application.

the distributor for it in the area is a guy name denis pang out in whitby. nice guy, an engineer by profession.

You can't spell "Porsche" without POR

Jim, I'll hopefully be done with your jack and stands later this week. If all goes well, tomorrow night, but that's optimistic. I'll drop them off to you asap.

Well not on a pre galvanised body anyway

BTW Christien did you see the guy selling the 2.7 for 2700 bucks or so working ? I thought of you but then remembered you already had one.

No, I didn't see that - where? I would've been very interested to at least have taken a look.
