Default BumperPlug Thief!!!

Somebody stole ONE bumperplug, and replaced it with a black plug!!!

Wtf?! Who takes ONE plug and then goes through the
trouble of putting their black plug in? hahahh!

Oh man, I don't know who could have done this. You need a remote
to get into the garage, and then a key to open an albeit waist high gate
to access my car....and that is provided that the stacker system is even
at the access level!

Only 25 spots in my garage, so nobody is going to put it on their car.
Perhaps it's for a friend's car, who knows...

I just ordered another set ... these things are such a ripoff! $25 + $8 shipping/pair

Why i'm not pissed... i dunno.

Oh btw, check out the fuel economy i'm getting with the 3 ... yah baby! Grandma driver! lol

Are you only driving downhill in neutral or what?

Maybe it just chipped off. Someone on the 993 forum posted the same problem and emailed bumper plugs and got a free replacement.

X2, maybe it just flaked off, maybe someone gave it a nudge with their car and it came right off. How easy are these things to come off and on?

should be easy to find the thief: how many silver 911s are there in this city?

did you check for finger prints?

after consideration , X3, I believe the paint just chipped off from a tap or even cold air and high speed driving

That is a fact most of the time. But I do have my moments...like solar flares ... lol

You know, i'm going to go down and check out this black plug. It's a perfect fit. Maybe it IS my plug only the paint flaked off as you guys opined.

But that's wack, how can it flake off in one piece? Maybe you guys are right and
my garage neighbour (who is the most f'd up parker ever!!! i saw her kiss the wall many many times) bumped me.

Again, i'll have to take another peek.

My guess is if somebody stole it, they are not considerate enough to replace it with a block one. If they did, that is a kind and considerate theif.

Shouldn't you have a front licence plate????
I thought it was required by law to have one?

Just asking!

My plugs did the same thing - paint came off in one piece. Never bothered replacing.

Default Solved!

Mystery Solved.

I see a *tiny* fleck of arctic silver on the edge of the black plug.
Looking closer I can see a faint dirt scuff on my bumper. Looks like I got tapped.

Thanks all!

C'est la vie
