Extremely limited like the GT2 or maybe even more limited like the CGT

Jokes aside; I was reading panorama this morning and for 20K or so more over the GT3, I would really try to put the fuss with sunroof aside and think with my wallet. Not much diff between the two and you can do alot with 20K on a GT3.

GT3 RS = No sunroof.

If we give the sunroof issue a rest, the only other diffenrences between them are the LWFW (RS is single mass and GT3 is dual), carbon rear spolier and rear hips 1.44" or so wider.

Tranny and motor are the same and I assume because of the weight reduction , that's where the RS gets .1 sec faster on 0-60MPH.

It all comes down to what it's worth to you. People are still today bashing on the RS America has being just a C2 and not a real RS. So imagine this one....

If I were in the market for this kind of car, I would most probably go with a GT3 but I must admit that every time I see a signal green RS, I get a little excited.

how often do you see a signal green RS? I don't think I've ever seen one! Or do you mean the pictures of the new one...in which case I agree!

I dont think it would be worth it to me. Having an RS would be awesome. Very unique, different than the 100s of other 911s we all see each day, but lets be honest, it would be largely because of the wing and the graphics. Aside from the visual experience, I bet it is really not that much different than a GT3.

$20k is A LOT of track tires and brake pads.

For me, it would be GT3 or Turbo. Heart would say GT3, wife and kids would say Turbo.

You are right on!

If the RS wing and graphics can be ordered as an option for the regular GT3, I don't think any potential RS buyers will still pay more money for the RS.

The wing and graphics you will probably be able to buy for a GT-3, the widebody (and wider rear track) and lack of a sunroof you can't. If your pockets are deep enough, and you just don't want a sunroof, then an RS it will be. A "base" GT-3 with $20K in mods should be faster than a stock RS, but nothing says you can't mod the RS either.
