Default Reasonable brake job in GTA

I need new brakes and rotors for a 2010 Cayenne S. does anyone have a recommendation for a reasonably priced job?

I'm also considering doing them myself. Would be my first time so could use help/guidance. Has anyone had experience with Fiix??

if that car has an electronic parking brake you may have to do research .. but outside of that brakes are brakes. there is nothing magical about Porsche brakes. Most people have a buddy who has done it before that can help. I know all my friends do . lol

You must be another 993/Cayenne household! That's what I figure. I got a quote for over $1,000 for the parts but when I spec it out on GermanParts.ca, I get a much lower price. Makes me wonder if I am looking at an incorrect parts list. The Cayenne is newer to me so I am not so familiar as I am with the 993.

Does that mean top end prices too?

not in my experience. their pricing on parts was less or equal to germanparts.ca

brake job on these are easy peasy.
lots of utube videos. many recommend changing the caliper bolts, often sensors can be reused. you may want to bleed fluid while there.
yes shop around for parts. careful what pads you use as some stop much better than others and some have much more dust. These trucks are heavy!
MVS charges 108 per hour and should be able to do it pretty quick but doing it yourself is more rewarding if you have the time.

Thanks Turbodan. I think I'm most unsure about what to order more so than tackling the job. What did you think about the parts list I included above?

Cayenne brakes are so easy to replace .. Just order as per the list above and you are good to go ... I can do a set in less than an hour ...with a beer in one hand.

we've had 2 different q7's (same brakes AFAIK) since 2012....

those germanparts.ca prices seem pretty good....

I recently went back to rockauto for brake parts.... I've been happy so far.

If the chassis design is the same as a q7... the fronts are no issue... the rears may have a caliper bolt that is really difficult to get loose (even with a lift)

parts list seems fine. get some brake cleaner if you don't already have and clean the sliders well. if caliper bolt is tough just use an extension and it will come out. Be sure to use jack stands

"Why do you think you need brakes and rotors"

The brakes warning light is telling me I need pads. I am planning to replace the rotors at the same time.
