I had blocked it out of memory. Let's hope the C8 doesn't burn the same!

Yeah seriously - those offsets!

why would they do that? They’re off by such a wide margin that I bet you’d need 3 cm or more spacers and then longer bolts to make the stock wheels usable. More likely new wheels on day 1. If there’s rubbing issues on improved offset wheels then the car is DOA.

Theyre awful. I like a lot about the car otherwise, but I cant even see past the offsets anymore.

Lol, Agreed.
I will say, owning a c6z, they do accommodate a large range of wheel types w aggressive fitments for every purpose. I just don't understand why the oem fit is so weak.
And it will have every downfall of the chevy's before it. Definitely need to address the issues that arise bit by bit w reasonable solutions created by reputable aftermarket providers.
It's par for the course on any platform.

From what I can tell the "trident" wheels are accessory wheels and the rears are 0.5" narrower than the standard split 5-spoke wheels. I think the idea is that they are actually winter wheels...although everyone seems to love them and want them.

Good thing you never drove one. Those 2.8L V6s were stupid slow. The last year GTs looked good but that's about it. I had two as project cars and they looked better than they performed. Now if you stuff something more interesting in them line a 3800 with an SC or a Norstar V8 OR something bigger, then they will come alive. But in stock from they were sad. Maybe Clive had a different experience.

my experience was worse ... i had the " iron duke" 2.5 litre four .. it was like a chevy citation going backwards.
then the interior literally fell to pieces like any GM.

A friend of mine who is a mechanic with the TTC put a Buick V6 Turbo in his. Stupid fast and very hard on rear tires.
