Default Finally! A Beautiful Day @ Mosport

.....Ah, the morning after Absolutely perfect weather y-day for the first time this year (at least for me) and a good bunch of drivers in the Apex Driving Advanced group largely represented by Porsche and Corvette/GM with some Vipers mixed in for flavor (though there was one doof out there in a Mini () Everybody played nice with no undue histrionics that I saw, anyway, so a pleasure to briefly relive such a fine all-round day. And, as an added bonus, got to meet/chat with fellow 'Lister Ian Cooper (aka Coop) who drove his GT3 as it was meant to be driven. Big thanks to Gerry and his crew, as well as the track and safety personnel for keeping the ship on course.....

An instant replay of y-day when I'm up again next week would be great

Yep, that's me getting run over right at the end With 121hp I could probably use another, oh, 10 or 20 or so

Great stuff, man......those Rads are like rocketships. They just go where they're pointed, unlike mine where I have to try to guess where I'm going to slide to

Cool video. Using turn signals to let pass scares the crap out of me when I see 2 cars doing it differently.

Yeah, on the back straight the Ford GT signals to the right, then goes to the right himself--WHAAAATTTT?! Much rather stick my arm out there.....

I've tracked with that Ford GT prior to that day, pretty sure he has never had to give the pass to very few especially on the back straight....

In his defence, he swerved over to let me by and probably hit the turn signal in the process. Not a big deal, I got the message, at least he did not try and
drag race up the backstraight.

Gentleman in a silver viper in the last session kept his foot into it on the front straight, so the pass into turn 1
was a bit too late, fortunately the car is fantastic.

I have too--actually spent some time chatting with him at lunch. Very pleasant guy. Concur with the speed of that thing, but it did take me by surprise seeing that.

Where's the bits where you're getting passed by other cars?

Seeing you in that video is like me in a BRZ getting blow away by Viper ACRs a few weeks ago... constantly looking at the rear view mirror!

I'm the little black dot going through T8 after the back straight at about the 4:45 mark.....he (they) got to me just after the 6:00 mark. I probably held him up a bit going through T4 into Moss Corner

As for driving the mirrors, been doing that for years--I don't think I'd know what to do if I didn't have to!

[QUOTE=tanner1974;15921418]Where's the bits where you're getting passed by other cars?

First time out in the Mclaren was a few weeks ago, Link below. I got passed by Cup cars and radicals.
Had a defective Trofeo and ****loads of understeer. By the time you hear AC DC I was holding my own.....

The track alignment and a proper tire made a huge difference.
More speed to be had.....Hopefully sit with Chris Green next week at Mosport.
