It's not the kids fault... it's 100% dumb a$$ parents. If my father bought me a $200,000 sports car when I was a teenager I would have killed myself in it. Teenagers don't have enough common sense or, more importantly, a sense of mortality yet. Knowing that, any parent who let's their kid buy a car like this should expect this result.

im also guessing that you believe that all 40k deaths due to traffic accidents and the hundreds of billions of dollars of damage caused by car accidents was due to young kids driving exotic cars?

im guessing that you guys believe that every person who owns an exotic car doesn’t let their kids drive it . You must live in a different reality .

And, obviously no... clearly not all traffic deaths are even remotely related to younger kids. Saying that is simply being argumentative. However, the rate of accidents is DRAMATICALLY higher for younger people. It's why their insurance is sky high because the risk is much higher too. So, combine the following ingredients... high testosterone, higher impulsivity, no fear of death, less years driving so less experience, higher probability of an accident... that might suggest a high HP sports car isn't the very best car choice from Mom and Dad If the young man/woman has a great job and makes their own decision to buy the car, all of the power to them.

While you are at it defend these kids too. Tell is all its disappointing that we comment on rich kids using our streets as a race track with mom and dads money. I will make no comment on how it relates to the oakville incident

When my son was a teenager there was no way I would let him out in one of my quick cars much less buy him one. No idea of how young people can have a sense of achievement if all is given to them.
As it happens he went out and made his own money and can afford to do as he wishes, but he earned his own money. If the young man here did that then it’s not a spoiled kid, just a driving errror.
