Great deal on a 997 GT3 RS. Asking $149k. Lowest price I have ever seen on one. That particular dealer seems to get great reviews as well.

I remember seeing this car forsale prior at higher amount but thinking that it was still a good deal. Guess they want to move it because yes, great price as long as they’re correct that it’s never had damage.

That car has 100K on it and a substantial amount of track use... they were too cheap to replace the front splitter, I wonder what else they have cheaped out on...

"The original owner of this car was both a Porsche racer and mechanic who worked for the Porsche factory racing team in the 1970's"
This looks like a well used car.
Hopefully not put away wet.

I find it kind of ironic... we all love the GT3 versions of the 911, primarily because they are purpose machines, designed to be outstanding track performers at their core. Yet, once one is used extensively on the track, it is then deemed substandard once it hits the pre-owned market.
Come on guys! If any 997 was made to be used and abused on the track, it is a GT3 RS! LOL
Its already priced $50k to $70k less than a garage queen 997 with similar mileage. Aint that enough ????

I have a 2006 Cayman S with a regular old 3.4L and 114,000 km, 10's of thousands of those km as a dedicated track car. Blackstone oil analysis show the engine is in exceptionally healthy state, better than their universal averages across all their Porsche 3.4L samples. Compression test & boroscope halfway through last season also confirmed everything is perfectly healthy. If this old 3.4 M97 can handle the duty, a Mezger powered GT3RS most certainly can too.
But the car is tainted because omg it's been on the track.
Aside from the above, Porsche GT market is on eggshells. Housing prices coming down across the country, stock markets not doing well, and many GT cars purchased way above MSRP with paper profits. I heard through a guy who knows a guy who's brother is the night cleaner @ one of the large GTA Porsche dealers and word has it they lost a lot of money on used cars in 2018. Smart money isn't buying $600k GT2RS these days when all you had to do was ask for one and you got one new from the dealer.
Three guys just in our little circle of track buddies got new 2RS over the winter, and one of them didn't even ask for one. Was waiting for his GT3RS to arrive and dealer was like hey we have this allocation for a GT2RS, you want it?
$600k LOL good luck

That GT2RS is a bargain! Pfaff was selling a silver one with 1300 km for $649k so this brand new one with only $599K is a steal!!! Someone snap it up quick! I mean you could get a 720s and a G63 as your winter beater for the same price but why slum it?

Anyone in Canada that has tried to sell a 997 GT3 (Any variant) over the last 18 months will tell you that the market is very small, they are hard to sell, and asking price is usually well above what people are willing to pay.
Track use is hard on paint, I can promise you that the hips/arches on that orange car are peppered to **** or have been re-painted. I don't have any hesitation buying a car that has been tracked (See the white RS in my avatar), but that car rubs me the wrong way, goofy decals, trashed splitter, trashed bumper mesh.. these suggest to me that the car was not maintained to the highest standard and that an accumulation of degradation was acceptable to the previous owner.
You can buy a 2016 GT3 RS or a 2018 GT3 MT w/ almost no kilometres for 50-70k more.. or you can buy a 2016 GT4 with almost no kilometres for 40k less... All three of those options are superior to the 997 GT3 RS IMO.
+ As cstyles suggests, the economy is in a poor state, houses and luxury cars are not moving, it's a buyers market, low ball accordingly.

Tracked is not as bad as the GT cars that are winter driven. At least paint can be polished or repainted and a front splitter is easy to replace. Winter corrosion on the suspension components and the underbelly is far worse on it.
