Dealer markup on 718 Boxsters and Caymans?
Has anyone seen this? I`ve been toying with the thought of getting into a new Cayman or Boxster, but I`m noticing that even the base models have dealer markups on them here in Vancouver. Are these cars really that popular?
They aren`t huge (usually 3k or so), but enough that it would be just as economical to get a car from Ontario where they don`t seem to have a markup and much better inventory.

I've never seen or heard of a markup on a 718. I'm not sure what the markup is but they may be including delivery and pdi charges which is over msrp. In any case you should be able to get a few percent discount on a regular car and even more if you buy something off the lot. If you find something on a dealer lot you like I'm sure someone here could recommend someone to talk to.

Given the volume at which the 718 sells (extremely low) I'd be surprised to see a markup but it is Porsche after all... they would markup the air in the tires if they could. The previous and upcoming GT4 are a much different story of course.
Around here for a 718 in a dealer's inventory I'd push hard for a material discount...

Ordered from factory 2015 981 got 6% off. I Believe dealer mark up was 8%.
