the 991.1 RS market is saturated and I think the 19 RS will be no different in a year. They are producing more of the RS's than many of the other models. Strange as they don't give allocations and have a "limited" hype on them.

It's a bit deceptive as the RS was produced in 2015 and 2016 but was only marketed as a 2016. At this point it looks like there will be less 2019 RS's for Canada than 2016's.

This explains why it was so hard to find the right 991.2 T or GTS manual on the used market, with the colour and options I wanted. For the T I wanted something manual without LWBs, and in GT Silver. Like an idiot, I procrastinated about this exact car at Porsche Oakville and it was gone when I decided I wanted to buy it. Ditto for a RWD GTS manual with RAS in Quebec. When I found basically the same car at Porsche Calgary, it was already sold. In all likelihood there was only one or two of each that met my preferred spec. produced for the whole country.

I ended up getting one of the last new 2019 GTS 2 models. Chalk, manual, RAS and a few other options. I'm under no illusions that it won't depreciate, but I suppose used values should hold up pretty well because of the limited supply.

Same here which I realized when the 991.2 turbos came out. I simply did not want one of them. Lucked in and got exactly what I wanted.

Why worry about it? If I did, I'd buy a $30K car that depreciates, not a $200K car.

Not worried about it, since it's the reality of buying any vehicle, but I'm planning on getting a 992 GT3 when they come out so would obviously prefer to lose as little as possible while I enjoy the GTS.

Gotcha! Besides, the older I got, I simply said "I can't take the $$$ with me".

What about 2012 991s? I have a 2012 991 C2S cab...

Also...kinda amusing there are 100x as many GT3RS as base Carreras in 2016!

Another interesting stat is that they’ve built more 992’s for North America than they built 2019 GT3RS’s.

Fantastic info! Thank you. Any idea on the final VIN for the last 991.1 Carrera built (non-GT)? I have one of the few 991.1 Targas built in 2016.

Wow! I feel lucky to have found my beautiful 991.1 C4 GTS in carmine. It was a hard car to find with the options I wanted and I still had to make some sacrifices.
