I am keeping an eye on the 996 Turbo/GT3 market and have been watching this one a while. Has nearly 2000 views. Does anyone know the car?

Buy it. I wouldn't sell mine for less than $100K.

It does seems like a very good price if it doesn't have stories. However it is Quebec

No kidding. I did new tires, rotors and pads last year...it was like $7K..if this car has that and it's $87,000 and hasn't been crashed 12 times or overevved to **** it's a steal. These are routinely $70,000-$80,000+ USD.

When I was looking about a year ago - I ended up with a GT4- Lauzon had two white 996s that I was looking at around this price. I bet that this one is one of those. if you’re looking at it close, I’ll see what info I might still have on it. I never saw it in person but have a big soft spot for 996 GT3s so I considered. It might be a useful data point for you if this is one of those.

Both were Tremblant cars, obviously.

That would be helpful if you have information as it will be a very good data point. Mainly curious if it has any accidents.

Sorry, I had some of that wrong. Lauzon had two white 997.1 GT3s and a single white 996 GT3. They were asking $90k for the 996. Not sure if this would have been the same car - but maybe. I can’t find any other info, but it was Jan 2018 when I was digging around.

Does PQ have an equivalent to a UViP?

Re accidents - it will be challenging to find one that hasn't had some form of paintwork. My friend bought a 996 GT3 about ten years ago and it took him a very long time to find one that hadn't hit the wall, and that was 10years ago. He still has his - a black garage queen!!!

We dont have info packs.. You can go with carfax but if the car was repaired out of pocket it won't be listed. Your best bet is to bring a paint gauge and have it checked. You can always tell the cars that have been repaired... There is a 997.1 GT3 around here that has been poorly repaired, it turns in right faster than left...

For sure. I don't mind accidents. I like buying cars with stories as I plan to track it anyway. Not looking for a garage queen or low mile example. I figure the more expensive the car the more incentive there is to keep accidents off the carfax. Buyer beware.

There is a local 996 GT3 in Victoria with duct tape on the cloth alien seats. Hole in the rear bumper. A pure track rat.

Just FYI This car had a pretty major on track incident and has been repaired. Not sure on the repairs as have not seen the car in person.

Thank you for that. The lower price makes perfect sense to me now.
