Well, they want to sell it. It costs them money for every day it sits in their warehouse. If they price it over part-out value, it will never sell.

Rest assure they are not loosing money. If it doesn't sell, they will part it out. That's what most wreckers do when they try to sell a car they bought.

Let's put it this way. They wanted $28K for it. They must think they can get less than $28K for the parts.
