Aftermarket warranty in Canada...
Is there an aftermarket warranty like Fidelity offered in Canada?

Some good info here, Lubrico comes to mind.

I personally dont believe in them after reviewing some of the T&Cs carefully over the years.

Based on usual $ caps per repair instance and agrregate total limitations usually in place I have serious doubts a PDK re/re would be covered. But there's always a chance I guess...

I got lubrico when I bought the car and it appears a reasonable deal except to say the maximum claim is 4K, which in the Pworld doesn’t cover much.

One of our local PCA members got an entire new engine for his 997 (due to bore scoring) out of his third party warranty. Not sure which one but could find out if you need. Took months to make the decision, but in the end they went good for it, all Porsche OEM installed by dealer ($$$$).

We do warranty work for some of the larger companies and have a good relationship with them. Whats covered and for what amount depends on the car and package you take... If you have the lowest package well they will cover X % and you'll have to pay the rest. If you have a 15 year old 996 with the lowest coverage and 150k on the Odo they might cover 1000-1500$ of the repair.
We have done engines, gearboxes, tcases etc without too much fuss. There are deductibles and fluids etc won't be covered. Rental car (if policy has it) you will need to rent it and they'll reimboruse you.
They tell us what they will cover and won't. We submit the claim to the them and it's approved by them. We have no say in it. We had to do a gearbox on a newer Benz (tcases) was shot. They covered a low mileage gearbox and labor. Client decided to put in a new unit and pay the diffrence. We also did a gearbox on a newer 7er (zf 8sp) rebuilt unit from BMW.
You need to read the policy you have and what's covered and what's the total amount over the policy coverage as Pags993 mentioned.

I purchased an extended warranty through the dealer when I bought my car, underwritten by the Sovereign General Insurance Company.
Depends on the coverage you purchased, but my limit per "repair visit" is the "actual wholesale cash value" of the vehicle.
