I also heard good cheating stories about the Honda Michelin Series ... you could always count on the outside car to end up on it's side or roof if they were three wide coming
up to Namerow !
Anyhow, it was something to do with the intake and a length of pipe running inside the left front fender that would direct "air " into the intake somehow ... there's more , but it is pretty far fetched ... lol

Even the Nissan Micra series has cheaters ... one team got caught lowering their car by cutting one inch of the shock rods and rewelding everything back ... one of my friends was a tech inspector
and told me a bunch of stories.

I was on a pit crew in the Firestone Firehawk series and a lead mechanic in the Export A series back in the 90's....there are many stories about cheating and to quote the Clash " u no what they said...some of it was true! "
My friend used to have his 944 serviced at Ludwig's shop...he never had any problem. Now if u wanna talk about
Uli Bieri's shop....now there were some problems!

I used to love dropping off my Moms 914 and hanging around the race garage in the back.
Rick Bye was on the counter for a long time and he was awesome. Clutch cable on my Scirocco snapped at 430 on a Friday and he said if I could get it there he would wait and fix it.....and they did. Yonge and Eg to his shop with no clutch....was fun.

Ludwig is one tough old bird. This happened at the Motorsports Hall of Fame event on the GP track. The official tittle was the Celebration of Speed.

I was on track with him a few weeks ago. It was stinking hot and he was in Braiden swapping slicks onto his GT2 himself. He was at it fuelling himself all day and he was busy! He took everyone one in line out non stop.

The organizer asked me to report back about the drivers conduct on track and I only had one negative response....Ludwig passed me on the exit of 5b without a signal. He said “yah, that’s Ludwig”

Great day and what an honour!

LOL. Same experience here (might have even been the same event) when he passed me on the outside of turn two. This was in the advanced group, he was on slicks and I was on street tires and he just flew by. I recognized the car, figured he knows what he's doing and just carried on.
