Default 996TT Value in Canada

Has anyone bought or sold a 996TT recently? I'm interested to know what the market is right now for a hard top, manual 996TT.

On autotrader, the prices appear to be bonkers. Good examples are listed in the high 70's or even low 80's, whereas the bottom appears to be 60. I can't imagine people are paying this...

I think you have missed the fact that good 996TT's have gone way up in value the past 1.5 years. Your best bet for assessing actual values is to look at what they're listing for here on RL in USD, and seeing how long they take to be sold. The quicker it sold, the more realistic the price. There are no where near enough 996TT and 997TT's changing hands in Canada in order to get a solid Canadian market value. Figure out the USD value and apply fx as appropriate IMO.

The 996TT and 997TT 6 speed coupe markets are hot for clean examples with complete history. Gone are the days of $30-40k 996TT and $60-$80k 997TT in Canada. Your 996TT and my 997TT are the hot tickets right now IMO.

Ask Porsche Oakville and Pfaff Porsche what they'd give you for it and add 30%.

FWIW a friend just purchased an ‘03 996 TT Tip for under 40k. Driver condition. Nothing wrong with it but not a show car. It all depends what you want.

I'll likely have 2 x 2002 6tt available soon, 1 6spd 1 tip, both will be under your 'bottom' but yes the market is still very strong for Mezger powered 996/7

I sold my 2002 996TT Seal Gray/Black modified, well taken care of with $25k of maintenance/service receipts over the last 7 years (probably didn't need anything when I sold) and full records going back to 2007ish ($35k USD work and mods 2007-2011? cant remember), but probably not still absolutely perfect 99,xxx km US car in about 2 days for C$57k in the spring.

It was a good car priced fair. Sold very fast.

Prices are up for sure. I was thinking of a 996TT and ended up going for a 997TT as the price delta wasn't that large. Even nice, well maintained, regular water cooled 996/997 are holding strong, and increasing in some instances.

Interesting. Thanks. Lots of asking prices out there, but it's good to know what things are actually selling for.

Price delta between 996TT and 997TT isn't that much now? In that case the 997TT is a no brainer...

I'm thinking of selling my 2001 in a year or so and can't see selling if for much less than 50K.

We looked at a 04' Turbo Cab with 80k last summer. Guy wanted 70G for it originally and ended up selling for low 50's.

Yeah, I feel like any Tip or Cab doesn't really factor into the market price for a manual hard top. They're in a seperate league.

I didn't know about the Hagerty tool. Kind of cool.

Turbo in good condition $52.3k
X50 addition $5.0k
Value in USD $57.3k
Value in CAD @1.3 $74.5k

Still seems high, but I guess that's what the market is doing. Perhaps I'm overvaluing X50 as well...
