Starting my Pcar hunting journey
I am just starting my Porsche journey. Looking to get a pre-owned 911, my budget is about $150K. Although I can go up a bit if it means a better car experience, and of course lower the better. I am really in no hurry to buy a car, so can wait till I find the right car for the right price.
Here is some back ground on myself.
I don't drive my cars too much, maybe 5000-10,000Km's a year. I have a 2013 BMW since new with only ~40,000KM. I live in downtown Toronto, work M-Thur out of town, then on weekends, I pick up a rental car at the airport.
But have been wanting to get rid of the BMW, and get a Pcar for some fun.
Anyways, starting to look around, and initial thought was maybe a 2016-2018 C4S or 2016-2018 GTS. With the C4S, would it be better to spend bit more and order new? The GTS seems like a great deal and seems to have the right amount of hp to $ for me. Or should I go a bit older like 2010-2015 and get a nicer GTS or Turbo?
Like this: 2015 Turbo: http://wwwb.autotrader.ca/a/porsche/...201Z9&sprx=100
or this one: http://wwwb.autotrader.ca/a/porsche/...201Z9&sprx=100
Or still with something newer

Any thoughts on what is the sweet spot for a $150K Porsche?

I would strongly consider a low km 997.2 Turbo S

You missed most of the summer driving season!! Go get a 991.1 GTS quickly so you have some time to enjoy it before snow comes.

I'm in a very similar situation....also in the same price range and curious about what you'll do.
I was wondering if diving into the high end $150K range might be abrupt. I was thinking of an older low km 4s or a turbo for under 100K and seeing if the porsche experience is what I really want. See it as an entry level.
Also, what do you see as the main difference between the 4s and the GTS? Both have wide rear ends, and both have lots of power. 4 wheel drive is nice, and they seem to end up at a similar price with some options....approx $150K
Thoughts?

What year is the 997.2 start? What do you think the price range should be?
How about this one;

997.2 started in Fall 08 with launch cars with PDK. Generally speaking 997.2 cars are from 2009- 2012.
Turbo cars may differ ?
