Interested in having this done. But can't seem find a reliable source to compare the different brands out there. They all promise the moon. But I guess you have to go with the installer not he product.

My only real concern is uneven wear. Different parts of the car get different levels of exposure [wheel arches vs rear lid]. As these coating wear, do you get uneven shine? And once you go down this route you have to keep going with the same product and yearly re-coats?

Nano coating has been around for years in the camera lens world.

Correct. Buy the professional detailer, not the actual product.

I've never seen any uneven wear on my coatings. I've had both OptiCoat Pro (2) and no CQuartz (1). And my car gets driven about 12,000 miles per season from March through October.

What's your feedback on the two products? How durable are they? Did they deliver the moon as promised in their ads?

I'm still not sold with this, I'll stick with conventional wax/sealer with machine polishing I can do myself.
