The challenge with your car is the mileage. Very few comps out there with mileage in the 70's or 80's and at that amount, a number of buyers aren't interested due to future resale challenges at 100K+...

I thought it was a relative bargain, and likely the only way to attract a base buyer with high mileage is to price it as such.

If youre looking for a more visceral experience in a better handling car that might not be "faster", trade it on a GT4. You'll get your GT experience without blowing the bank and you will probably get reasonable money for your car on trade, plus tax savings.

But I'm biased!

If it hasn't sold yet it is priced too high for the combo of options, mileage, year etc... lower the price if you want to sell now is the spring market.

Thanks for the feedback fellas. With my R8, 964 & '79 targa, I just don't get enough time behind the wheel on this one, but since i am not really in need of cash so perhaps i'll start daily driving it and rack up more mileage and then list it in $60'ss next year

I drove my friend's 997 GT3 & really enjoyed the driving experience but 997 GT3 & GT4 are around the same price point. I think i should test drive a GT4 & just add a GT car to my stable

I thought you had said you sold the targa last year?

I thought i did and buyer flaked last minute. Wasted so much time and energy, ended up storing away in a bubble. Eventually i'll be doing a backdate project on that. For now I am just enjoying my 964

When I was purchasing recently, my target was the 997GT3. That was the experience I wanted. What I didn't want is an aged car because that would have put my right back into the experience of a 10 year old car.
I ended up with the GT4 because I viewed it as a modern equivalent in experience (raw, about same performance, etc..) as the 997 GT3, but with a warranty and modern interior and at about the same price for 1/10th the mileage.

You made some really solid points, I am still hoping for GT4 prices to come down a bit with the new .2 GT3 & RS deliveries.
