My friend brought his MP4-12C Spyder over when he bought it and insisted that I take it for a drive. He told me to get into the gas on the first open stretch we did. He neglected to tell me he had put it in race mode. Back tires broke lose but I got off the throttle right away and corrected it.
That was an OMG moment.

Yeah watched it all unfold on the news last night. Half a million in crunched cars.
At least the poor guy in the R8 has video evidence for his insurance he was just parked when this went down.

But the important discussion here is who actually buys a base Mclaren or R8? It has to have 100K worth of options? Very misleading reporting.
