Happy to be back after 3 years with a new ride
Hi old friend and new members,
I have been offline for a few years after selling my '78 Turbo-look in 2015, but I'm happy to be back with a new-to-me Porsche. I just picked up a 2009 911 Turbo Cabriolet manual with 39,xxx km's. I had a ton of fun driving it home today from the dealership. Looking forward to catching up with you all at GTG's. Here are the obligatory pics...lol.
P.S. In the second pic (yellow arrow), there is what appears to be some kind of phone holder. Anyone ever seen one of these and know anything about it?

Gorgeous car, congrats!
I also had a 3rd gen RX7, red 1994.
To this day regret selling it.

Yes I know that holder. My 2009 997.2 was the first one that Pfaff received. It came with that holder. They told me it was a holder for the European phone. I hated it because the passenger would sometimes complain and it was ugly. Two years later Pfaff replaced that piece for free when I asked. I was much happier. I guess my 2009 wasn't the only one that came that way. They told me at that time the cost would have been >$1000 if Porsche wouldn't have covered it. The NA piece wasn't available for the very early 2009's hence the euro piece.

Hey Zook, it has been a while. Things have been good. We ended up selling our house and cottage last summer and moving to a waterfront property just outside of Ottawa. Life is a lot more tranquil as you might imagine. How are you doing?

I bought this car from Lamborghini Montreal. I don't have immediate plans yet for mods although it's a pretty quiet car so an exhaust might be in order. Right now I am trying to find a front license plate bracket solution where I don't have to drill into the bumper.
I have heard there is a GTG in Ottawa at the train yards. Not too many details on the site yet. Do you go? are there other Ottawa events i should know about? I look forward to meeting you at one of them.
What mods have you done?

Would love to see your custom bracket. Maybe that's what I need to do.
