Wall mounted tire storage
Hi Guys,
Is there an industry leader in wall mounted tire storage? Any brands/models that everyone suggests?
Thanks,
-Geoff

Tire rack has some interesting one's.
There are lots on Amazon? I had mine built, WAY before this internet thing blew up. I should have influenced the design more. BUT, I think I could pull an engine out with it.

I copied the following design, easy peasy, sturdy and cheap. I painted them black to give it a finished look.

I bought a couple of these at CT awhile back when they went on sale. Surprisingly sturdy.

This one goes on 50% off ALOT. I have few of these but it's not wide enough for my 911 305 rear's. I use it for my other wheels

I've got this one: http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/mo...-0090078p.html
Would easily hold set of R305's and R235's from a 911. I currently have a full set of 19" (Two R285'S / Two R245's) from the CTS plus two 16" off the kids Jetta on it.

That's basically what I built too. I've also added "I" hooks at the corners that at supported by thin chains from the ceiling. This way if the tire rack from the wall starts to pull out, the chains will hold it.

I've been using pro slat tire rack for 4 years now. It can be used with the pro slat wall system or bolted to the wall studs. Its very sturdy and at 48" wide it easily holds a set of 4 provided they aren't all 305 wide. It appears they sell for approx $100. at Bed Bath and Beyond in the US with free shipping. Interesting that they're 25% less expensive here ($105 at Home Depot) ...

I can lift car tires into my tire rack.
My truck tires are way to heavy to lift over my head.
They stay stacked on the floor.
You'll appreciate your forged wheels a lot more.
