Cayenne vandal downtown TO

I was thinking that the window was just open because you don't see him making any kind of breaking motion. And in the start of the video you can follow the car's headlights going across the rear window, then there's a gap and then it shines on the A pillar. I think the window is just open.

I saw that on the news and thought it was a concentrated attack on the target. Shouldn't be too hard to find a perp. Especially given the expertise shown. What a loser.

One of those self "propelled" centre punches would knock the glass out with very little effort but this sure looks like either an inside job or a crime of passion. Either way Mr. Sparky knows the owner.

That appears to be just too convenient. A man walking with incendiary tools, goes directly to the Cayenne which just happens to have an open window, and lights it up. I would take the bet that the owner and the co-conspirator will both be charged with fraud.

looks like the car that went by stopped as you see the brake lights come on . Im guessing this clown jumped out . That was no random act of violence.
from the light of the flame, that looks like broken glass at the bottom of the opening . So I think he center punched it out.

I love how the police issued a statement that they are concerned that the vandal may have suffered burns. Really? Who gives a sh*t if he suffered burns. But this is Canada so maybe he will be able to sue Porsche because the seats were too flammable and didn't give him enough time to avoid injury.

He may have broke the window and took off wondering about an alarm and then came back with the gas.
We also don't know how much more video footage there is before if any. This just may have been a clip that the police released.
I would think though that the cops are looking for a dude with very little facial hair now.

who are you guys kidding? the police aren't wasting time in the cold weather (wouldn't in warm either) looking for a guy who vandalized a Porsche. They probably would give him a medal. The police rarely investigate any crimes nowadays. I would be surprised if they even came out to the scene of the crime. Only reason they released it is to make it look they are doing something and since it is Porsche people will watch and say "that porsche owner deserved it".
sorry for the negativity but that is how this city works...just stating facts.
years ago I had a GTI stolen and recovered and they had a spring loaded tool for breaking the window...the cop said all he needed to do was touch the glass with a piece of ceramic tile. They caught the guy and also charged him with possession of burglary tools (or something like that).
