Less practical than it looks. Roofline too low for my Great Dane so Cayenne is staying !

All joking aside, spectacular car Ronan! They look so much more "complete" than the Panamera IMHO

However, it does feel incomplete without the Family Truckster wood sides. Maybe a Baby On Board sticker, and one saying I brake for Unicorns.

Reminds me of the factory built 4 door 928 station wagon.

You know, I never understood why the station wagon more or less disappeared from the market. Maybe it was the minivan that replaced it, or maybe they just became "un-cool". But maybe this will make them cool again?

People like the high up seating and feeling of safety in SUVs, and the utility of minivans replaced station wagons. I doubt if station wagons will ever be cool, but either am I, so its a match!

I think the avants (wagons) are still popular in Europe, just not so much here in North America.
Looks like it will still be fun but I personally prefer the sports cars.

Dan: not getting rid of any sports cars. This is just more of a DD Fir long distance runs ultimately.

Ditto, wagons are awesome. My 9-5 wagon can fit more in the hatch than most SUV's can. But I think you are correct, the minivan killed them.

Ronan, congrats and awesome colour choice.

Well, I blocked out all chrome, and deleted the model badge - no Turbo designation . Porsche lettering is black also. Interior is black and no wood...just CF trim. Left off a lot of the electronics such as night vision assist, the $6k sound system and the like. No Ceramics which seem to be a complete waste of time for my usage. Hoping I missed nothing. I think exhaust tips are a dark colour naturally but if necessary would have to have them painted black. only miss I made to my knowledge. No contrast stitching is available interestingly unless you go the staggeringly expensive individual route. Should be a good road car but will track it at the beginning on principle in Germany. Probably never again after that. I still have the Cayenne for towing, dogs etc and will hang onto that. The car that will leave will be the Smart Fortwo...13 years old and 27,000km.

Great looking spec!

Congratulations! Looking forward to seeing some great “photo-documentaries” from the neat road trips you often take!

Enjoy in great health.

If I was in the market I would for sure look at that model. I think wagons still have a reasonable niche market. I drive a 2015 Volvo V60 Polestar. It is my main winter ride, we still have the Cayenne-S and a Chevy 2500HD Pick-up to do the bigger lifting. But the smaller V60 works just great as part of the fleet. We still do have a 981-S and a 991.2 TTS Cab for the summer toys.

I think I will go online and play with the Porsche configurator for a bit now, just to see how much a nice Panny is these days.
