You are welcome.
I believe Porsche of London will also host some Car Lapping Days as they have done in the past complete with instructors. I will post that information when it becomes available. I pre-registered today for Grand Bend Raceway's complete Car Lapping Schedule. I appreciate having a Track less than one hour from home.

I was happy to learn that another 991 RS has been purchased in this area by a very good driver who will run the car. This will be a great year. Think of it as a Thursday Night Lapping League with no membership.

Congratulations and good luck to Ontario's DJ Kennington who qualified for the 2017 Daytona 500. DJ was one of our Driving Coaches last year at the last Porsche of London Track Day at Grand Bend Raceway.

I just found out the Dates for the 2017 Porsche of London Track Days at Grand Bend Raceway. Apex will again be there with their great coaches and driving instructors. All three events will be held on Fridays from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Lunch is included. What a tremendous event for Porsche Owners in this part of Ontario. Diane Prior at Porsche of London does a great job of organizing these Fun Events. Diane will have Registration Information on their Website and Facebook early next week. I'm looking forward seeing many of you there. These events are wonderful to attend no matter what your On Track experience is. New Drivers welcome and wanted.

London, Windsor, Sarnia Area Porsche Owners - join in to run or watch at Grand Bend this year
Looking forward to opening day - Saturday April 29th - Rain or Shine. I hope to learn more skills in the Rain in 2017. I'm investigating having more Shelter for those odd rain days. Join us at The Bend.

I'm trying to use more of the capabilities of the Aim Solo. I modified the Track Map of the 7103 Foot / 1.35 Mile / 2.17 Kilometer Grand Bend Raceway Technical Circuit into 5 Segments to better analysis the data. We will study the Split Times in order to try to improve my Lap Times.
Opening Day is only 22 Days away, Saturday April 29th. I believe the crew starts back next week to start preparing for the season.
Watch for our Hospitality Tent and Container - we are going to concentrate on having even more Fun in 2017 at these Car Lapping / Performance Driving Events.

What's the track like? Would it be worth the 3 hour drive for me?

If you check John's posts, you will see plenty of descriptions of the track. It is a well-paved, flat road course. A good technical challenge, while not being terribly fast. There are very few places to get into trouble - if you go off, you are very likely going to be in the grass. There is a wide range of talent out there, from people like John (extremely competent, smooth and fast) to real beginners. There are usually 3 groups running: beginner, intermediate and advanced. Beginners are welcome. It's fun!
