Your VIN doesn't show up very likely because the link you provided is for the 2 Litre settlement. I am not aware of any registration yet for 3 litre vehicles. My SA told me last week that I'd be getting a letter from Porsche Canada very soon explaining the process.

Hello - I am the owner of a 2014 Porsche Cayenne Diesel. I just received an emissions recall notice (Emissions Recall AG01 - Emissions Compliant Repair for Model Year 2013-2016 Porsche Cayenne 3.0L Diesel) in the mail (dated December 21, 2017). The recall proposes correcting the defeat mechanism and making other related changes to the emissions system consistent with the fix that was approved by the EPA in the US on October 20, 2017. There is no mention of a cash payout in exchange for the recall. There is a mention that participating in the recall does NOT impact eligibility for a cash payment that may be available as a result of a settlement but does not mention anything further re: a class action nor status of settlement. My question - why would I want to get this emissions fix completed if I am not going to get compensated? Has anyone else received the letter? Perhaps I am missing something but it does not appear there is any downside to not participating, at least at this point.

Regards

Mukluk, I have a '13 CD and have been all over this for some time. Your best bet is to go to the Facebook group on the issue. Canadian VW/Audi/Porsched V6 3.0 TDI forum. You'll find it easy enough. All the info you need is there.

I took my CD in today to PCO for coolant issue.

So the fix is out and approved. For older vehicles, i think pre latest facelift it’s hardware and software. For latest vehicles it’s just a software fix.

No word in cash settlement.

Got a recall letter in the mail today. Basically says no cash unless class action goes through, but getting fix won't forfeit right to any settlement. The fix will cause bunch of changes including holding gear longer up to 1.4L/100KM more fuel use, up to 40% more DEF use, engine sound will change. Warranty on emissions systems now 10 years 197,000km.

But seems like settlement is agreed in Canada, and once certified by court, payouts should come. https://www.vwemissionsinfo.ca/news/...esel-vehicles/

I was hoping to get more like the americans. I got mine literally days before the stop sale happened. we still might get more since bosch isn't part of this settlement.

I think we are getting about $42000 for a 2011 q7 tdi with 205,000 km on it with buyback and sorry money....

We bought it with a decent CPO warranty in September 2012 with 32000km on it. I'm trying to find the sales papers for it but I think we got it out the door for about 60K.....

Looking at options for the next vehicle.

Yep, leasees don't benefit as much as the US folks. Wish they at least offered a walk away option at this point for the gen2 leases.

Thanks for the link. According to that site I am getting a $7,025 payment for my 2014 Touareg (owned, not leased).
