991.1 GT3 Market!!

The GT3 .1 market will crash within a year or less. Dealers are just holding up market online. There are so many GT3 and GT4s physically sitting at Porsche dealers. They are just hiding them from the public and not putting them online. They only put the ones they want to get rid of the most. The bright color cars, higher km, low options etc.
I know the wholesale prices will be around $120k cad or less by next fall when a lot of the .2 owners have already taken delivery of their cars. I see ppl taking delivery of their .2s already.
I’m a buyer at $110k for a 2015 .1

I think .1 price will hold steady next summer. when .2 and .2rs allocation are all given out people that on the waiting listing will be shifting to .1gt3 and .1gt3rs market. When dealer start calling people to refund deposits the .1 cars will start to moving.
u best bet is porsche to produce lots .2 gt cars everyone can get one at msrp if you want a cheap ,1 gt3.
.2 gt3 pre owned will be asking around 230K CAD next summer. . 2015 .1 gt3 with decent options and low millage will be still asking around 190-200 and selling at 170-180.

List price and selling price are vastly different. Most owners who are trading up are forced to do so in order to obtain the next allocation.
I'll bet that asking prices on highly optioned .2 GT3 will be in the $250 -$270k range.. at those prices who's buying? That price aligns it with competition like Mclaren, Lambo and Ferrari.
Who's paying $180k for a .1 GT3? or $270k for a .1 3RS?
When the engine reliability issues surrounding the .1 GT3 become public knowledge, who's going to touch them?
Lots of answers coming next year..

Porsche now offer 10years warranty on .1 gt3s so don't to worry about that.

The 10 year extension for the .1 GT3 is only for the finger follower issue, specifically. It does not cover other potential issues/flaws that may occur during that lifetime.

Sorry I can't believe that.. They've had RS and GT3's here sitting on lots at those prices for well over a year. You work at Porsche vancouver? Feel free to post up the sales receipt. $165k for a gt4 with 15,000km??? They aren't even selling here @ $30k less with a tenth of the mileage..So I can't believe that.

I know porsche langley recentley took 2 2015 gt3 trade ins around 170-175K.
BC price is always higher than eastern provinces.
I tracked my 15 .1 gt3 for over 5000kms no issue. Also if u buy cpo form porsche it has 6 years warranty. That is plenty.
Most owners don't hold the car for that long.
For MY15 cars less than 10000kms and with some opinion trade in will be at 150-165 and asking form 170-190 next year in BC.

Bunch on autotrader for 110-120 That don’t seem to be moving, if they’re not moving then I suppose market has to drop to $95- 100 usd, haven’t looked on craigslist for a while. Not sure how that affects the Canadian market.

U.S. market seems to be drastically different to that of the Canadian market. What is interesting to see is the very high uptake rate of manuals in the 991.2 GT3 market. This will surely push the 991.1 GT3 market cars downward due to only having PDK transmissions.

Is anyone familiar with this car? Seems to be well optioned (can't remember the last time I saw a Canadian GT3 for sale with buckets).

PFAFF had that red one recently at $145k with 35k mileage.
Given the lean 991 GT3 inventory online I wonder how many are stacked in dealer basement's across country.

Besides bucket's it's missing quite a few options such a PCCB, PDLS and at 45000 kms they really need to lower the price.

I told the salesman to call me back in 3 months.

Someone posted on Facebook a dealer in Europe who bought something like 18 new 991.1 GT3's intended to be used for a private car club. All are now for sale.
Back to Canada...there's not a single new 991.2 GT3 for sale on the used market but once they start showing up prices of the current GT3's will nose dive.

Hey not sure where you get your information about a "nose dive" or prices dropping on GT3.1 as you've posted a couple times. The advertised prices are still way up there for cars with over 10k km. There are lots of people that can't get a GT3.2 and when the final hammer drops on who will and won't get one the dealers know that the older model will start moving. Just look at the 997's with low mileage they are still quite high. In fact many guys have parked them as the prices took off. As long as the Canadian dollar stays around 0.80US the GT3's will hold a price premium. Many can't get a new one and used one's are price based on US market with the exchange and a 6.1% duty.

Cheapest I’ve seen is 100k usd so that’s $137CAN over the border, though there is a car on the GT3 forum with over 60K miles that the owner thinks would be worth $90k usd

So as of late I've noticed darn .1 GT3 prices creeping up. Cheapest one now is around $170k. Maybe I should have jumped on that $145k Guards red from PFAFF a while back
